ARTS

Abound here, creativity explodes! From Pearl Street where art is cultured with artist in residences and work space to galleries, exhibits, shanty artisans, music and much more. Delight and surround yourself with the unique, creative vibe that lives right here in downtown Hyannis.

In 2005, the Town designed and built a boardwalk and installed seven artist shanties to serve as affordable studio and gallery space for local artists and artisans. The response to the Harbor your Arts (HyA) Program was overwhelmingly positive by the arts community, residents and visitors.

This popular attraction provides a picturesque setting to view art made by both man and nature. Visitors to the seven harbor side shanties can enjoy photography, painting, handmade jewelry and more created by local artists and artisans.

Call to artists for the 6th season Harbor Your Arts Summer Shanty 2010 program on Hyannis Harbor! The Town of Barnstable is looking for artists and artisans interested in selling their artwork as a part of the 6th season Harbor Your Arts Summer Shanty program on Hyannis Harbor.
